June 1, 2017: We are happy to be home!  We enjoyed a wonderful trip, especially the chance to reconnect with many friends and family.  The highlight of the trip was Peter and Gwynne's wedding in Crossville, TN on October 22, 2016.  The lowlight was Peggy's bike crash in Bryce Canyon National Park, requiring surgery to repair the rotator cuff on her right shoulder. Fortunately, it was near the end of the trip.

Trip statistics:

• We visited and spent at least one night in all 48 of the continental United States.
• We slept in our RV 368 continuous days from May 20, 2016-May 22, 2017.
• Shortest drive=45 ft; longest drive=339 miles (8 hrs 45 mins); normal travel day=about 3 hours
• Total miles traveled=27,886;  Total gas=3,311.8 gallons;  Total gas cost=$7,460.34; Average MPG=8.1; Average price of gas=$2.25/gallon
